About
One of the greatest issues for humankind today is the sustainable preservation of a global environment, and society requires us to make a commitment to both achieving economic growth and the environmental conservation in our business activities.
We at the Konica Minolta Group feel that as manufacturers, it is our duty to offer products with low environmental impact. We believe that in order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to develop and design environmentally conscious products, while at the same time procuring materials, parts, and components with low environmental impact.
For the Konica Minolta Group, the key word of green procurement is reducing environmental impact. We have added a category of the ecology to our traditional evaluations criteria (Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) of suppliers, in order to give preference to procuring parts, materials, and so on with low environmental impact, from suppliers with active commitments to the environment.

It's a basic stance of our activity on the green procurement in the Konica Minolta Group that we surely solve environmental issues, based on reliable data and quantitative measurements of performance and impacts. Therefore, we will basically require our suppliers to measure the content of the controlled substances and request our suppliers to submit the evidence of the no inclusion in the parts and materials.
We will procure parts and materials from the suppliers who agree their cooperation to our environmental activity by the contract and the specification sheets.
