IMAGING SYSTEM

A mammography contributes to early detection of breast cancer; however, compared with other parts, more precise finding is necessary, so that it is essential to realize extremely high level of images with higher precision and superb gradation. This hurdle has put brakes on digitization of mammography.

Konica Minolta has developed the world's first digital mammography system applying phase contrast technology. We have found out a magnification ratio, which maximize the phase contrast effect, and designed an exposure unit exclusively for a magnification factor of 1.75. Taking advantage of digitization and attaining images which surpass analog performance, we have dually realized ease of use and more reliable diagnosis.

PRINTER EXPOSURE SYSTEM

A laser imager is a printer to output medical diagnostic images. In order to faithfully reproduce widely ranging minute density differences of focuses, extremely high printing accuracy is required compared with common OA printers.

Konica Minolta printer exposure system incorporates a semiconductor laser direct modulation system (real time feed-back control), and realizes such superior luminance level as 14 bit (16,384 gradation). Moreover, it offers superb diagnostic images exhibiting high sharpness, rich gradation, and excellent uniformity through integration of optical technologies developed in various fields, such as high precision polygonal mirrors, as well as optical scanning systems which exhibit excellent light condensing performance and beam positioning accuracy.
