Color management technology
Even several types of images like CMYK, RGB, Photo or Text images are mixed in one job, PR-6500 can handle each profile to the best color matching for each object. For instance, users can achieve device link profile for RGB images to be more vivid and pure color to meet the color shown on the monitor, graphic images created by word-processor or spread-sheet software to be vivid color without contamination, text images to keep 100% Black or pure color and so on.
Also, embedded profile created by designer can be used.

Edge treatment technology
Excellent small font quality can be created by edge treatment technology for positive and negative fonts
Professional RIP PR-6500 detects half-tone and solid image edges and optimum edge treatment may be selected to ensure a clear, sharp finish. Edge sampling and density control ensure realization of quality reproduction of both positive and negative characters matching offset printing even for small-point characters previously difficult to reproduce by electro-photo methods.
RGB image optimization
This function enables the brightness/contrast adjustment on the RIP. In addition, adjustment and customization of un-sharp mask are made possible, enabling to set its applicable amount, radius and threshold level. High productivity
Reprint without ripping
For the on-demand printing where a variety of paper types are used, the print condition for any specific paper, such as paper type, weight, size and front-to-back registration offset value, etc. are collectively recorded. This helps eliminate re-input of the print condition next time when the print is made with the same paper.
Last minute color correction
The size of the paper is automatically recognized at the time of printing if the size is standard. However, even for the irregular sizes, once its attributes are recorded as a parameter, the condition can be instantly recalled next time when the same paper is selected for print.
Color correction can be done by Professional RIP PR-6500 and only selected color can be corrected by Device-link editing software Colorcontrol-LM Lite2.

Variable data handling
Capable of handling the latest variable print format PPML/VDX. Use of software such as PrintShop Mail enables speedy handling of jobs combing master and variable data to expand the range of possibilities of digital printing including direct mail and personal prints.

Hot folder function
The image data can be transmitted and printed simply by dragging & dropping a file in the shared folder on the client PC. Capability to set the image processing or finishing mode on several folders eliminates unnecessary time spent for repeating the setting for one job after the other.
Automatic two page imposition
Using the 2-up function, several page data can be automatically imposed into the booklet, helping reduce the work for page imposition.
Mixed media support
Paper tray for each paper can be selected. For instance, thicker gloss paper from bypass tray for front page, colored paper from tray-1 for two-page spread and tray-2 for other pages to support to get better quality booklet with simple operation.
