At drupa 2016, KMIJ will demonstrate new inkjet printheads, which are being unveiled for the first time in the world. Employing KMIJ’s proprietary MEMS technologies, these printheads are characterized by a high level of resolution and precision, high-speed ink ejection, as well as compatibility with a wide range of inks and their compact size.
KMIJ will exhibit its diverse lineup of inkjet printheads along with various print samples to show its next-generation inkjet technologies and offer product proposals to general users and manufacturers thinking about developing printers for signage, label, and package printing.

MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems): Technologies to form micro-sized mechanical systems on a silicon or glass substrate, which require highly advanced micron-scale fabrication technologies

2.AccurioJet KM-1 B2 digital inkjet press (new product)

KMIJ will showcase the AccurioJet KM-1 that employs Konica Minolta’s inkjet head technology, ink design technology, and advanced image processing technology that Konica Minolta has developed in the area of toner-based digital printing.

3.Technical showcase: KM-C inkjet digital press for package printing

KMIJ will also stage a technical showcase of the KM-C, a full-scale digital inkjet press for paper packages, which adopts the inkjet digital printing technology established during the development of a new product, the AccurioJET KM-1.
The KM-C can print on sheets up to 760 mm x 1,060 mm in size, slightly larger than B1, and with thicknesses ranging from 0.3 mm to 1.2 mm, and thus is capable of high-quality printing on various types of presentation boxes and thin corrugated boards.

Concept: YOU and WE
Slogan: We enable your business and your customer’s business

Konica Minolta will set up a booth with an area of 2,400 m2, the largest-ever exhibition space for the Konica Minolta Group, where the company will showcase the AccurioJet KM-1, a new digital inkjet press to be launched onto the market in June 2016 and other new products and solutions in the areas of commercial and industrial printing and demonstrate how the new products can contribute to enhancing work efficiency. To give visitors a concrete image of how its products can work in an actual business environment, Konica Minolta will show the products in each zone of its booth in a manner that follows the work process of a fictional printing company that has undertaken an entire marketing campaign for a client. In doing so, Konica Minolta will indicate the possibilities of innovating printing tasks and expanding the scope of the printing business, by taking advantage of its unrivaled knowledge of commercial and industrial printing.
