Ideal for situations where the workpiece is not planar in shape, this rotating stage can be automatically controlled by Polygon Editing Tool in order to perform highly-convenient automatic alignment of scans from different positions. In terms of rotation angle, you can select from 90°, 60°, or any other angle that is an exact fraction of 360°. Note, however, that the setting of a 90º rotation angle for the majority of workpieces does not result in excessive obstructions, and allows complete scans to be obtained.
When the rotation angle is made excessively small, this actually results in a higher number of obstructed sections and the generation of illegal polygons during the alignment and joining process.
