About Color and Appearance

The application of color meters is also increasing in the medical and cosmetics industries.

The cosmetics industry, for which color is an important factor, has been using color meters for color management and color adjustment for a long time.

Some of the applications include the color adjustment and management of various cosmetics including nail polishes, lipsticks, foundation and face lotions; and the color measurement of dyed hair.

New applications are also emerging such as the development of skin cosmetics based on the measurement of skin colors.

The medical and pharmaceutical industries have also been using color meters for a long time, for example to differentiate pills. Dental technicians also use color meters to create false teeth in a color close to the patients' tooth colors.

About 3D Digitizing

The medical industry has been using non-contact 3D digitizers for a long time. The VIVID Series plays an active role in medical research for dentistry and plastic surgery (mainly in universities). Non-contact 3D digitizers are also used for designing prosthetics such as artificial hands and legs.

In the cosmetics and toiletry industries, the digitizers are utilized for analyzing facial expressions, sags and wrinkles for the purpose of feedback for product development. New applications are emerging such as the development of diapers and the design of shampoo or other containers.

About Medical field

The PULSOX Series Oxygen Saturation Monitor and jaundice meters which can measure neonatal jaundice without blood sampling are widely used in medical applications.
