From long ago, their golden fur have been targeted.
The Golden Snub-nosed Monkey lives in a large herd in the mountains of China. It also can be referred as the Golden Monkey. It is resistant to cold and lives in the second coldest habitat of all primates. (It is the human being who lives in the coldest habitat.) The Golden Snub-nosed Monkey keeps itself warm with a coat of beautiful golden fur. People have been hunting it to make coats with the beautiful, warm fur for themselves.

The greatest concern is the decreasing forest...
The greatest concern for the Golden Snub-nosed Monkey is the disappearing forest. In fact, the Golden Snub-nosed Monkey and the Giant Panda are actually sharing the same living space. As the forests are disappearing, the Giant Panda also decreases in number. Similarly, the tree-dwelling Golden Snub-nosed Monkey is having a hard time to search for food and raise its children. To save the Golden Snub-nosed Monkey from extinction, China is promoting a national campaign to protect the species.
