It's a funny bird! The Black-faced Spoonbill swings his neck from right to left looking for food. His winter home is in factories or farms and he's disappearing quickly!

Black-faced Spoonbill lives on the Korean peninsula, China, Japan's ocean shores and tidelands.
It's a happy bird, sticking his bill into shallow seas or tidelands and pulling out a yummy fish, crab, or shrimp.
The Black-faced Spoonbill is a migratory bird. (It moves to warm places in winter and cool places in summer) In summer, it hangs out on the Korean peninsula and takes care of the kids, in winter it moves to Taiwan or Japan.

Friends of the Spoonbill are so funny looking for food. He sticks his bill into the shallow sea or tideland and walks swinging its neck left to right. Black-faced Spoonbill is a migratory bird, and now it has to make nest in factories and farms, so it is disappearing quickly.

The Black-faced Spoonbill is running out of places to live in winter and when too many Black-faced Spoonbills live in the same place, it's extra dangerous. If they have problems where they flock, they will become extinct in a flash! From 2002-2003 alone, 73 Black-faced Spoonbill died in Taiwan because they flocked together and got botulism poisoning.
