ImagePilot Sigma with Informity Provides Cost-Effective Digital Imaging to Alternate Care Sites

Wayne, NJ, November 27, 2011 – Konica Minolta announced today the introduction of the ImagePilot Sigma digital radiography solution with Informity, Konica Minolta’s cloud-based archive, disaster recovery, image sharing and information portal solution. ImagePilot Sigma includes the company’s new tabletop CR reader and is an ideal, affordable solution for low-volume clinics and practices, including orthopedic, chiropractic and veterinary.

ImagePilot Sigma features the new REGIUS Sigma tabletop CR reader weighing less than 62 lbs with a small footprint. Flexible plate technology enhances its compact design and cost effectiveness. ImagePilot Sigma is easy to use with a touchscreen user interface and offers unmatched reliability.

With Informity, users can collaborate with referring physicians and other specialists, receive remote support including software updates and virus protection, and access service and support history and status. This service extends the reach of the private practice via an on-line collaboration tool, ensures the security and integrity of patient data with off-site disaster recovery capabilities, and provides relevant, up-to-date information through a personalized Informity portal site.

“Alternate care sites are increasingly implementing digital solutions that streamline workflow and help improve patient care,” says Steven Eisner, Senior Marketing Manager for Konica Minolta. “ImagePilot Sigma with Informity helps meet these needs as a cost effective, compact footprint solution that delivers information technology capabilities at the point of care.”
