INFINIUM L

The largest of all INFINIUM Series was born. The INFINIUM L is an optical type of planetarium that project the beautifully realistic Starry sky, featuring the brightest, sharpest and naturally twinkling stars.

Dome Type Horizontal / tilted
Dome size 18~27m
Number of seats 180~350 seats
Number of Fixed Stars 15,000 (magnitude 7.0)~29,000 (magnitude 7.6), Approx. 350,000 in Milky Way area.

Reproduces the brilliant, sharp and realistic starry sky by the technology of optical fiber and high efficiency light source combined.

INFINIUM L has adopted the lens projection system through an optical fiber as well as a metal halide light source of high color temperature. It reproduces the difference of a delicate brightness between each of the fixed stars, and also their particular color tone with high fidelity, and can project more natural and realistic starry sky accordingly. As to Bright Stars (especially bright fixed stars), the visible and smaller stellar images in diameter can be presented more brightly comparing with the conventional one.

Reproduces Milky Way, Nebula and Star Cluster more realistically as a group of stars.

Based on an exact positioning data of Milky way, Nebula and Star Cluster, the star plates are processed directly by the precise laser technology. Milky Way which is reproduced as a group of approx, 350,000 of each stars can be observed by audience feeling real depth of starry sky.

Most of the fixed stars are realized in twinkling starry sky at random.

Konica Minolta can with their unique technology realize twinkling starry sky of Bright Stars as well as all fixed stars (except Milky Way area) at random. This is the first of its class in Japan. (Option)

Combination of the integrated console adopting universal design and newly designed GUI made the best function possible remarkably for operation.

Regardless of the age of operator, young or old, the console can easily be used in the dark room with dim light because of easily usable layout, and larger letter and pictograph are on it.
Also, it utilizes Windows with newly designed GUI (Graphical User Interface), and made the easy operation possible remarkably for operators.

INFINIUM L supports an intention of operator to realize interactive performance.

Vitally necessary manual-operation can be done in an instant, for example, projecting of starry sky of the day, moving on to where one' s eyes are aimed by clicking on the map, choosing a name of constellation and meridian transit of it. Also, manual operation can be intruded while automatic operation is being done. Moreover, it is equipped with the semi-automatic function to proceed a short-program prepared in advance by selecting it only, reflecting audience' s reaction, By the excellent operation function of both manual and automatic, an interactive simulation or performance can be realized supporting the intention of operator. Operator can also be a way from the console with Remote Control System which is available as optional item.

The operation of all peripheral equipments can be managed from the Console.

The operation of all peripheral equipments can be done from Console by the network control.
Needless to say, during Automatic operation, Manual or Semi-Automatic operation, All-sky digital projection system and sound system can be controlled with perfect freedom.

Reliability, Durability and Maintenance are improved.

Konica Minolta always pay attention to the reliability, durability and maintenance for the equipments parts and software in all aspects to be usable for long time after installation of them.
