Questions

What is Color Temperature?

Answer

Color Temperature is a term used to describe the color of a Panckian (black-body) radiator. The color is expressed in chromaticity coordinates, x and y, determined from theoretical spectral power distribution curves, and the temperature is expressed in the absolute (Kelvin) scale. This term is sometimes used incorrectly to describe the color of "white" light sources. The correct term to describe the color of light sources is "correlated color temperature."
