I have a 2600d. I want find differences between two metallic silver base coat. We are producing alloy wheel. How can I say which properties different from each other? How can I compare two paints?

Answer

The 2600d can be used to measure and compare the color of different objections in various color spaces. For instance the customer can utilize the instrument to measure one silver coating and then measure the new coating as a trial. Using CIElab space and difference measurement a user can numerically compare the difference between opaque colors. In CIElab space the difference numbers will imply a magnitude and direction of the color difference for comparison. Typically customers use our equipment to enforce tolerances around standards and to track color fluctuations in materials as new lots are produced.
