Konica Minolta Named Among
Top 100 Global Innovators 2024 by Clarivate for the Third Consecutive Year

Tokyo (March 15, 2023) – Konica Minolta, Inc. (Konica Minolta) announced that Clarivate Plc, a U.K.-based global information service company (Clarivate), named Konica Minolta among the Top 100 Global Innovators 2024 (Top 100 Innovators) for the third consecutive year.

To create this list, Clarivate uses its own intellectual property and patent data to identify companies and organizations that have met the qualifying criteria of having filed 500 or more patent applications since 2000 and been granted 100 or more patents during the past five years, and then evaluates the identified candidates in terms of four factors: “Influence,” “Success,” “Globalization” and “Rarity.”

The Company owns a number of high-level intellectual property, including the Dynamic Radiography Analysis in the Medical Imaging Business, which, combined with Dynamic Digital Radiography, enables high-value-added image diagnosis; and automatic quality optimization in the Professional Print Business, which automates the machine adjustment, quality control and inspection processes of digital printing and realizes higher efficiency and user-friendly operation that does not require special skills. By utilizing such intellectual property and focusing its investments in intellectual property, Konica Minolta aims to further increase the competitive advantage of its strengthening business.
