Konica Minolta Signs MoU with Vietnamese Governmental Agency and FPT to Explore Joint Research in Digital Healthcare Using Dynamic Digital Radiography and AI
Strategic Partnerships in Healthcare Technology between Japan and Vietnam

Tokyo (October 3, 2025) – Konica Minolta, Inc. (Konica Minolta) announced that the Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on October 1, 2025, with the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC) and FPT, through its subsidiary FPT Software Japan Co., Ltd. regarding exploration of joint research on digital healthcare solutions using Dynamic Digital Radiography (DDR) and AI.

Taking advantage of Konica Minolta's DDR technology and imaging AI technology and FPT's advanced AI technology, Konica Minolta aims to establish new diagnostic technologies, such as diagnostic support for respiratory diseases and automated generation of medical reports. Konica Minolta's proprietary DDR has received more than 300 patents worldwide and more than 400 units have been installed. Promoting respiratory disease solutions through medical innovation and digital transformation in Vietnam will contribute to promoting the health of the Vietnamese people and reducing the burden on healthcare professionals.

  • Developing healthcare indicators for respiratory diseases using simplified and advanced DDR imaging and creating opportunities for early diagnosis of respiratory diseases by developing AI diagnostic support tools
  • Optimizing clinical workflow by reducing workload and improving reporting accuracy for healthcare professionals through automated generation of medical reports.
