Konica Minolta, Inc. (Konica Minolta) is pleased to announce that the company has been awarded Honorable Mention in China’s Design Intelligent Award (DIA) 2019 for the Cosmo Leap Σ, an optical planetarium, and Monicia, a self-monitoring tool. Award-winning Products

Cosmo Leap Σ, an Optical Planetarium

The Cosmo Leap Σ can project the starry skies equivalent to those of the Infinium Σ, Konica Minolta’s flagship optical planetarium that was developed to reproduce beautiful fixed stars shining in the night sky, in medium-sized domes with an energy-efficient compact design. A new silhouette that incorporates optical technologies in a package was attained by breaking down and re-integrating the components of the conventional equipment.
This product also won the Good Design Gold Award 2018 in Japan and the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2019 in Germany.

Monicia, a Self-monitoring Tool

Monicia is a self-monitoring tool consisting of an app to record daily physical conditions and a body-temperature measuring device that helps users predict their menstrual cycle. By predicting the next menstrual period, users likely to develop premenstrual syndrome (PMS) or those with premenstrual disorder can control the way they live so as to ease their suffering, such as by discussing the problem with people around them to seek their understanding or reducing their workload.
