Konica Minolta Introduces the Mammography-Capable Nano HQ with the Highest Resolution for Single Bay CR

Wayne, NJ, May 3, 2010 – The new Nano HQ single bay CR system is a mammography-capable, single bay CR reader that offers the highest resolution in the market, Konica Minolta announced today. In addition to existing 175 μm and 87.5 μm read capacities, the Nano HQ offers a new 43.75 μm read function for mammography. This new resolution capacity generates smaller pixels for greater detail and higher quality images. The Nano HQ is available for sale in Latin America.

The single bay Nano HQ is based on Konica Minolta’s award-winning Nano CR, named Best in Klas by KLAS Enterprises LLC in 2008 for single-bay systems. Designed for high quality, reliable imaging, the Nano HQ includes Konica Minolta’s patented hybrid processing and linear motor technology for a smooth plate transport mechanism. Flexibility is inherent in the new system with a compact, space saving design that gives placement options and the ability to choose a control station that meets the specific imaging needs of each facility – from large hospitals to private practices.

Nano HQ is a high-performance CR boasting a processing speed of 80 plates per hour (14″ x 14″) at standard resolution or 51 plates per hour (18 x 24 cm) at the highest resolution, 43.75 μm. Nano HQ is an ideal solution for virtually any imaging environment.

“Konica Minolta is proud to continue leading CR innovation and providing our customers with efficient, high-quality systems that meet the demanding needs of today’s imaging environment,” says Darren Werner, Digital Radiography Product Manager at Konica Minolta. “Our next-generation Nano HQ offers the added flexibility of mammography yet it can be used for the everyday image processing needs of small, medium or high imaging volume centers.”
