KONICA MINOLTA AND MEDASSETS SUPPLY CHAIN SYSTEMS INK THREE-YEAR DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING CONTRACT

Wayne, N.J. July, 24 2007 – Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas announced today that it has been awarded a three-year contract for Computed Radiography, Laser Imaging, and Medical Imaging Films with MedAssets Supply Chain Systems. MedAssets is one of the nation’s most influential group purchasing organizations and a leader in the supply chain services.

“Member feedback indicated one of the most important requirements of hospitals related to imaging equipment is its ability to remain up and running at all times with little time needed for repair,” stated Tom Emmerson, Executive Director, Imaging and Capital Equipment Services, MedAssets Supply Chain Systems. “In addition to the broad scope of their product technology, Konica Minolta’s Computed Radiography has been noted in the industry for its reliability and up-time. The choice for awarding the contract was clear when considering these factors.”

Bill Ward, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas states, “We are extremely pleased MedAssets Supply Chain Systems, one of the country’s leading GPOs, recognizes Konica Minolta as a high value partner. The Konica Minolta commitment to customer satisfaction coupled with our high performance cost effective product lines are in sync with MedAssets goals of balancing provider financial health and quality of care,” concludes Ward.

Specifically, the Konica Minolta Computed Radiography contract includes the new Nano CR single bay CR system, the versatile and reliable Xpress CR System, the REGIUS 370 Upright Digital Radiography System, along with the world’s first self-learning CR systems – IQue CR and IQue SE.
