Konica Minolta, Inc. (Konica Minolta) and Pioneer Corporation (Pioneer) 
establish a joint venture for Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) lighting
business to accelerate launching business for OLED lighting through
integration of their strengths.

Konica Minolta have kicked off research and development for organic electroluminescent (OLED) materials in 1999 and utilized its core technologies to drawn close attention as a front-runner in the industry.

<Recent Representative Achievement>

In 2011, the company utilized its core technologies in the world’s first commercialization of OLED lighting panels using all phosphorescent emitters.

In 2014, OLED lighting panel with the world’s first color tunable function, the world’s thinnest OLED lighting panel, and the white OLED lighting panel the world’s highest luminous efficacy.
Also at the same year, the company also announced the world’s first mass production and shipment of the OLED lighting module with a wet coating process for a light-emitting layer.

The 1st of June 2017, Konica Minolta, Inc. (Konica Minolta) and Pioneer Corporation (Pioneer) establish Konica Minolta Pioneer OLED, Inc.to accelerate launching business for OLED lighting through integration of their strengths.
OLED lighting business which KONICA MINOLTA has been grew will take over to Konica Minolta Pioneer OLED, Inc. for further growth and creating new values in synergy with Pioneer Corporation (Pioneer).
