Unification of the Current Photographic Film, Single-Use Cameras, and Inkjet Paper Line-Up under “Konica Minolta” Brand

Konica Minolta Photo Imaging, Inc. (president: Hideaki Iwama) announces unification of a brand under “Konica Minolta” for the current line-up of photographic film, single-use cameras and inkjet paper formerly sold under the Konica and Konica Color brand names. The products having renewed packaging design with the new “Konica Minolta” brand will be launched beginning March, 2004 for the domestic market and April, 2004 for the overseas market.

Konica Minolta Photo Imaging, established last year after the management integration between Konica and Minolta and the following group reorganization, supplies a diverse range of products and services in the consumer imaging field, such as photographic film and paper, inkjet paper, as well as minilabs and ID photo systems. Consumer imaging products, such as the CENTURIA SUPER photographic color film series, Film-In single-use cameras series, and the Photolike QP inkjet paper series, are highly regarded for their quality, and favored by customers around the world.

Konica Minolta Photo Imaging has continued to use the Konica and Konica Color brands for the consumer imaging products, such as photographic film and inkjet paper, which have long been favored by consumers, even after the formation of Konica Minolta Group. However, as the imaging field being its business domain, it was decided that unification of the product brands for the entire Konica Minolta Group would strengthen the “Konica Minolta” brand, and would evermore bring about greater confidence for the customers. Thus, the brand will be unified for all the products and services currently provided by Konica Minolta Photo Imaging.

Taking this brand unification opportunity, Konica Minolta Photo Imaging will make further efforts to gain greater “Konica Minolta” brand recognition as well as to create inspiring products and services for consumers.
