Giving Shape to Ideas at Eco-Products 2012 in Japan
-- Konica Minolta's Environmental Technologies Bring Smart Ideas to Life --

Tokyo (December 4, 2012) - Konica Minolta Holdings, Inc. (Konica Minolta) will be exhibiting at Eco-Products 2012 (December 13-15, 2012), one of the largest environmental exhibitions in Japan, held at Tokyo Big Sight.

The theme for the fourteenth Eco-Products is “The Greener, The Smarter - The Future We Will Choose.” The annual exhibition has drawn a lot of attentions, as diverse stakeholders visit and exhibit at the show and share initiatives or solutions that address environmental issues on a global scale.

This year, under the Communication Message “Giving Shape to Ideas,” the Konica Minolta Group will showcase its initiatives to contribute to the sustainable earth and society by sharing challenges faced by the customers and society and providing new solutions with environmentally-friendly products and services for businesses and homes. Across the globe, the Group has been actively developing the “Three Green Activities*” to meet the goals set in its long-term environmental vision “Eco Vision 2015.” The Green Products Certification System is now in its second year, bringing more and more environmentally-sound products for customers. Green Products and Green Products Plus are internally certified to be highly environmentally considerate. Through Konica Minolta's proprietary core technologies, these products are designed and manufactured to meet energy- and resource-saving needs in the general public and contribute to greener society.

Konica Minolta's exhibition will include multi-functional peripherals (MFPs) and business solutions, including supporting technologies, that help reduce environmental footprint in workplaces, and functional films suitable for eco-friendly and comfortable homes and offices. In the next-generation lighting technology zone, a unique creative work of Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) lighting, “Lighting That Breathes,” through collaboration with a washi paper* designer will be exhibited, along with many other presentation of environmentally-friendly lighting technologies.

* Three Green Activities: Green Products Certification System, Green Factory Certification System and Green Marketing Activities
** washi paper: traditional hand-made paper
