Osaka, Japan, March 3, 2003: Minolta Co., Ltd. is proud to announce that it is exhibiting its products at PMA 2003, an international photo imaging convention and trade show, which started March 2nd in Las Vegas, U.S.A. In addition to its current products, Minolta is exhibiting the following new products:

Digital Still Cameras

DiMAGE Xt

This new addition to the popular Minolta DiMAGE X series lineup known for its unique folded optics is a state-of-art digital camera with 3.2 million effective pixels, appealing exterior, improved operability, sophisticated performance, and value-added features in an even smaller body.

DiMAGE F300

As the next in line to the DiMAGE F100, the new DiMAGE F300 not only produces high-quality, high-resolution images, but also offers sophisticated, advanced features that allow users to capture beautiful images effortlessly. The DiMAGE F300 employs a 1/1.8 type primary-color CCD with 5.0 million effective pixels packaged in a stylish body.

DiMAGE S414 *

The DiMAGE S414 takes all the strengths of its predecessor, the DiMAGE S404, which has built a solid reputation in the US market since its launch in February 2002. The DiMAGE S414 has a 1/1.8 type CCD with 4.0 million effective pixels and a Minolta GT 4x optical zoom covering a range equivalent to a 35 - 140mm lens on a 35mm camera.

DiMAGE E223 *

In a conventional camera-like body, the DiMAGE E223 employs a 1/2.7 type CCD with 2.0 million effective pixels. The camera's 3x optical zoom is equivalent to a 38 - 114mm zoom on a 35mm camera.

The DiMAGE Messenger is support software for business, technical, and professional communication as well as personal use. The DiMAGE Messenger can clearly attach questions, comments, or explanations to an image. These comments can be linked to a specific area within the image with a color frame. 35mm SLR Camera and Lenses

MAXXUM 3 Date (Sold as DYNAX 3L in Europe) *

The new MAXXUM 3 Date has an incredibly compact body and is the lightest in the series. The MAXXUM 3 Date provides the benefits of the high image quality, and interchangeable lenses and accessories of an SLR with the effortless operation of a compact camera.

AF APO TELE 300mm F2.8G (D) SSM

These newly designed lenses provide superb, sharp images with smoothly defocused areas outside the depth-of-field and increase versatility with an improved minimum focus distance. These are the first lenses in Minolta history to employ an internal supersonic-wave motor and feature DMF (Direct Manual Focus) that enables photographers to finely tune focus after the AF system has locked, as well as quiet, smooth AF operation.

Designed for the new telephoto SSM lenses, these accessories increase the power of the matched lens.

35mm LS Camera

Minolta ZOOM 110 *

While having a built-in 2.9x zoom lens covering a range of 38mm to 110mm, the Minolta ZOOM 110 is an easy to carry, compact, lightweight camera. It includes value-added features; the film-chamber lock prevents the camera from being accidentally opened and ruining the pictures that have been taken, and the long eye-relief makes the viewfinder image easy to see for eyeglass wearers.

Binoculars

Minolta Sport Mini 8x25 WR/10x25WR **

The extremely compact and light Sport Mini binoculars are easy to take traveling and hiking, or to sporting events and the theater. O-ring seals make the binoculars water resistant to protect them in light rain.

Minolta Classic Sport 8x42WP10x25WP/12x50WP *

These classic porro-prism binoculars were made for use outdoors: bird watching, boating, sports, hiking, hunting, or traveling. O-ring seals protect them against rain and sea spray and the barrels in all three models are nitrogen purged. These waterproof binoculars can be submerged down to 1m (3 ft.) for five minutes.
