Material components field provides components that are incorporated into the products of its customers. Its strength is in overwhelming technological capabilities, which contribute to the evolution of the industry as a partner that co-creates customer product roadmaps.
Functional film in performance material field has earned top-class shares in protective film for polarizers (TAC-film) field as an essential component of liquid crystal displays. In particular, phase difference film (VA-TAC), for wide view has earned top-class share.

Image IoT business provides new value to customers with this technology in the areas of security to protect people, plant safety monitoring, and product inspections.

Visual solutions business is centered on "Konica Minolta Planetarium Co., Ltd.", an affiliate company. It is the only comprehensive manufacturing company in the world, which runs directly-operated planetarium and creates dome videos for planetarium.
Konica Minolta established its first planetarium in Japan in 1957. We have been engaged in the development, manufacture and installation of planetarium equipment, as well as the maintenance of it, content production, and the operation of directly-operated planetarium for more than 60 years. In recent years, we are aiming for dramatic growth through business development into new customer areas, based on the 360 degree imaging technology that we have cultivated through dome projection.
