Since joining Minolta Camera Co., Ltd., which later became Minolta Co., Ltd., in 1985, Hitoshi Kamezawa has been involved in the sensing business. After engaging in the development of pulse oximeters and agricultural measuring instruments, he held successive leadership positions responsible for the planning and development of spectrophotometers, three-dimensional object shape measuring instruments, and medical measuring instruments. In 2011, he was appointed Development Manager of the Sensing Business Unit, and played a central role in the development of sensing solutions centering on display and object color measurement to bring greater value to customers, while working to strengthen the customer-oriented R&D system.

He has been responsible for the entire sensing business of the company since 2015. He has gained expertise in measuring technologies and measuring instrument markets through his broad range of experience in the manufacture of spectrophotometers, object shape measuring instruments, and medical measuring instruments. Leveraging this expertise, he has succeeded in the acquisition and post-merger integration (PMI) of several foreign manufacturers, and has been working in close cooperation with group companies to bring greater value to customers and improve corporate value.

He was appointed Group Executive in 2016, Executive Officer in 2018 and Executive Vice President and Executive Officer in 2023, a post he continues to hold.
