Environmental Labels, Certifications and SDS
Environmental Labels
At Konica Minolta, we believe that improving the environmental performance of the products we develop, produce, and sell enhances product value, helps solve customer challenges, and reduces environmental impact. To evaluate the environmental performance of Konica Minolta products using objective and common indicators, we actively work to acquire environmental labels. These labels demonstrate that our products meet the environmental performance required for each environmental label, and we will continue to obtain environmental labels and disclose information on them moving forward.
Blue Angel Mark
The Blue Angel was launched in Germany in 1978 as the world's first environmental labeling system. It is an independent and credible label that sets stringent standards for environmentally friendly products and services. Since receiving the world's first Blue Angel certification for a copier in January 1992, Konica Minolta has continued to receive certification for new products by clearing the certification bar each time it has been raised.
International Energy Star Program
An energy-efficiency program for imaging equipment implemented under an agreement between the governments of Japan and the United States.
For the percentage of sales from models that have obtained the certification, please refer to the Social Evaluation / Environmental Labels sheet under Environmental Data in ESG Data.
Eco Mark
The Eco Mark is one of Japan’s leading environmental labels, administered by the Japan Environment Association. Konica Minolta continues to maintain Eco Mark certification for its office IT equipment.
EPEAT (Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool)
EPEAT is an environmental assessment system operated by the Global Electronics Council (GEC). In 2025, the system transitioned to EPEAT 2.0, introducing a comprehensive set of criteria that adds information equipment consumables standards to climate change, resource circulation, chemical substances, and supply chain criteria. Konica Minolta will comply with the new standards and continue to acquire certification.
For the percentage of sales represented by EPEAT-certified models, please refer to the Social Evaluation / Environmental Labels sheet under Environmental Data in ESG Data.
Additionally, for information disclosure based on EPEAT certification, please refer to the Information on EPEAT (Global Site) page.
