Participation in RE100, a Global Initiative for 100% Renewable Electricity
In January 2019, Konica Minolta joined RE100, a global leadership initiative that brings together businesses committed to sourcing 100% renewable energy for their operations. By 2050, Konica Minolta aims to procure 100% of the electricity used in its own business activities from renewable energy sources, with an interim target of reaching 50% by 2030. In FY2025, the percentage of electricity from renewable energy sources increased to 39.8%.*

Expanding Use of Renewable Energy at R&D and Production Sites
In November 2025, 100% of the electricity used at three major R&D and production sites in Japan—Tokyo Site Hino, Tokyo Site Hachioji, and Kofu Site—was sourced from renewable energy.
Additionally, in December 2025, 100% of the electricity used at all of Konica Minolta's production sites for multi-functional peripherals (MFPs) and digital printing systems was sourced from renewable energy.

Expanding Use of Renewable Energy at Sales Sites
Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. installed a solar power generation system in the parking lot of its headquarters in 2013 and has since used the electricity generated to power its offices.
In Europe, sales companies in seven countries, including the UK, the Netherlands, Spain, and Belgium, completed the transition to renewable electricity by FY2025.
Building a Long-Term Procurement Scheme for Environmental Value through a Virtual PPA
In February 2025, Konica Minolta entered into a virtual PPA with Tokyu Land Corporation and Riene Co., Ltd. Under this PPA, Riene, acting as an aggregator, separates the environmental value (non-FIT non-fossil certificates) associated with electricity generated by a solar power plant owned by Tokyu Land Corporation, and Konica Minolta purchases it from Tokyu Land Corporation at a fixed price for 20 years. The power plant commenced operation in April 2025.
This marks Konica Minolta’s first virtual PPA. The acquired environmental value is used for electricity consumed at Konica Minolta’s sites in Japan.
